Rituals are repeated sequences of activity that deepen our connection to our higher self. They elevate our functioning and can propel us in the direction of our dreams. Enter the garden space and allow the garden to direct your activities. The act of setting aside a “Spiritual” place in the garden activates energy from the cosmos.

The acknowledgement that a physical space in the garden is a “sacred space” sends a message to our lower self that gets transmitted to our higher self and generates intuitive insights into the best course of action to take in the garden. The right action is revealed by the higher self at the right time, when all three selves are in alignment (subconscious, conscious, higher conscious). The alignment of the three selves during garden activity is gardening as ritual. However, the conscious self must believe in the effectiveness of the ritual. Once the lower self gets the message it takes over and we call this a habit, a condition, or a program. Practice is essential but practice can occur in the mind. See your actions getting the desired results but be detailed since every step in the process is essential.

The use of affirmations facilitates the process of alignment. Repeating positive affirmations can program the subconscious mind with intentions. Bringing attention to the intention generates energy that facilitates the desired manifestation. Gardening as a ritual creates a verve, rhythm, and flow that gets the job done effectively.

Honoring my most inspirational mentors within the garden and designating one area as a “sacred space,” opened the garden to my higher mind. Bringing this spiritual dimension into the gardening activities linked the activities with higher mind and generated holistic gardening. Everything fell into place and merged into a state of oneness.

More and more individuals are becoming enlightened. Each enlightenment benefits all people. Humanity moved from simple consciousness to self-consciousness. Cosmic consciousness, the highest state, is rarely achieved. Enid, Karmu, Kelan, and Kweku achieved a cosmic level of awareness. Their perilous journeys yielded fruits that were invisible to the naked eye but visible to those with an open third eye.

The barriers between science and spirituality are breaking down as vital questions about consciousness are being answered. Are particles conscious? Yes! Is planet earth conscious? Yes! Is the Universe conscious? Yes! Is energy conscious? Yes! Energy and Consciousness are one. All is consciousness!

Climate change presses humanity to awaken. We must awaken to the awareness of its actuality and act on this awareness. What can I do? I’m glad you asked! Growing plants (especially trees) is something everyone can do to help address the problem. The problem is a complex one that will require the coordination and cooperation of governments all around the world. Plants are not the sole solution; however, growing plants is something each person can do to be a part of the solution. Plants with their ability to photosynthesize, have always been and will continue to be the key to life on Earth. Plants generate oxygen, enrich soil with essential nutrients, and provide food for all participants in the web of life. Plants also remove carbon from the atmosphere (carbon sequestration). Plants, in fact, are the progenitors of all life on earth. Life on planet earth would not be as we know it without plants. Organic practices regenerate nature while inorganic practices degrade agrarian resources. To bring harmony and balance to mind, body, and soul we must return to the Garden and live holistically.
