The Labor day break allowed for quiet time and deep reflection in the garden. The night's rain was a welcomed sight and the crops expressed their gratitude by flaunting new growth. Although the crabgrass has become quite bodacious in their attempt to seize every crystal pallet from the sky and exert even greater control of garden space, the fig tree is undaunted, the grapes are unfazed, and the moringa proudly express their disregard. My harvest from the grape vine and fig tree was bountiful and the fruit I picked had reach peak ripeness. The fig and grape juice combination produced a taste that was somewhat mysterious, like Adam and Eve taking a stroll down Eden Lane with Bacchus.
